In the interest of the public service the Government of Arunachal Pradesh is pleased to notify a total of 80 (Eighty) seats in ANM Course for the academic session 2017-18 in the 4 (four) ANM schools at (i) Tawang, (ii) Aalo (iii) Pasighat and(iv) Namsai functioning under the Directorate of Medical Education, Training & Research, Arunachal Pradesh.

* Altogether 7 (seven) seats have been kept for selected ASHA Workers in the Districts indicated. Eligibility for ASHA workers will be as per Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council Norms. In case of non availability of eligible ASHA candidates other candidates will fill up the seats
**Dibang valley has 2 (two) seats in total.
**Longding has 4 (four) seats in total.

Methods of selection
The candidates will be selected in each district by District Selection Board which will comprise of the following members:-

The Deputy Commissioner :- Chairman

The District Medical Officer :- Member Secretary
-
One PRI Member :- Member
-
2 (two) co-opted members :- Members
Selection will be done through a written test comprising of General Knowledge (50 marks), Elementary Mathematics (50 marks), General English (50 marks) followed by an interview (40 marks).

The eligibility criteria for the candidate will be as follows:-
a) Qualification : Class XII pass
b) Age : Female candidate between the age 17-28Yrs (APST) & 17-25Yrs (Non APST) as on 31st August 2016. For ASHA candidate age limit will be up to 38 years (APST) and 33 yrs for Non APST as on 30th September 2017. All other criteria, course structure and syllabus will be as per the APNC and INC norms.

Each District will select number of candidates as per allocations. An equal number of candidates should be kept in the waiting list against seats which may be vacated by selected candidates.

The names of the selected candidates along with relevant documents to be forwarded to the Director of Medical Education (T & R) on or before 30th of September 2017. Any names received after 30th September 2017 will not be entertained.

Syllabus and other regulation which are not specified in this notification shall be as per Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council/Indian Nursing Council norms.
